The Lab and Custom Pickup Models
The Lab
To fine-tune the pickups, measure them, and ensure that each model leaving the workshop perfectly matches the specifications, we have implemented a number of measuring devices to qualify the magnets and various components of the pickup, as well as a measurement bench to obtain the frequency response of the pickup.
The Mule
We also have several guitars named ‘Mule’ with interchangeable pickups, which allows us to quickly test and compare a model in development.
These guitars are also available in the workshop for customers to try, compare, and choose the suitable pickup. Indeed, it is quite challenging to describe what one hears or feels with a pickup.
These guitars also serve to quality control the manufactured pickups.
