Mantispa Bass

The Mantispa Bass is a headless, multi-scale, foldable bass guitar.

It uses exactly the same folding system as the Mantispa guitar, but one third larger!

It weighs 2.4 kg in its 4-string version, and just like its little sister, once unfolded you get the same arm and leg support points for playing seated, whether on the right or left leg. The two strap buttons allow you to attach a strap for playing while standing.

The two hand-wound pickups are Growl Buren types, and it can be equipped with a Delano or Darkglass preamp with individual volume controls per pickup, a 3-band EQ, and a switch to toggle between active and passive modes.

As with all models, it is fully custom-built, from wood selection, neck profile, choice of scales, neutral fret placement, to finishing options.

It is available in 4- or 5-string versions, for both right-handed and left-handed players.
