Leo Fender laid down the blueprint for the modern electric guitar with the Telecaster, a technically simple instrument which was both affordable and did the job! Following the path marked out by the legendary Leo, I wanted to infuse the Tourbus\u2018Caster with the distinct character of the Telecaster: a punchy, bright sound with a \u2018twangy\u2019 bridge pickup, and a neck pickup full of definition.<\/p>\n<p>The Tourbus\u2018Caster comes with a bolt-on maple neck and maple fingerboard, a walnut body with two Growl Tele-type single-coil pickups, and a rosewood.<\/p>\n<p>For the Tourbus &#8216;Caster, after experimenting with different wood species for the body, neck, and fingerboard, I propose using ash and walnut for the body. These woods are denser than alder and allow for a perfect tonal balance with a maple neck and either a maple or rosewood fingerboard.<\/p>\n<p>The walnuts I use, which grow in my region, have quite varied visual characteristics. This allows me to use highly figured and darker woods as well as relatively light woods that can adapt to very light shades.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<style type=\"text\/css\"
